Giorgi Gabitashvili has held every position from an ordinary intern to the Prosecutor General, he is a talented person and I am sure that his work in the Audit Service will be successful. Such a statement made today Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee, Paata Kvizhinadze, at the session, where the candidacy of Gabitashvili for the position of Auditor General was discussed.

As Chairperson noted, the Audit Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office are structurally different, although, according to him, “the Audit Service issues recommendations, while the Prosecutor General’s Office mainly handles criminal cases, but both require investigation, study, verification and discussion of the case. I am sure that everything will be fine”.

Kvizhinadze wished success to Gabitashvili and thanked the former Auditor General, Tsotne Kavlashvili, for his work.

The Finance and Budget Committee of the Parliament supported the candidacy of Giorgi Gabitashvili, nominated for election to the position of Auditor General.
