Hungary defended Georgia’s interests not only bilaterally but also within the EU, we will continue to oppose external pressure and stand by Georgia’s independent development path - Orban

The Prime Minister of Hungary reaffirmed Hungary’s unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and European integration during a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze in Budapest.

“Hungary defended Georgia’s interests not only bilaterally but also within the EU… We always feel like Georgia’s ally and partner, and we represent Georgia in all its struggles to protect sovereignty and independence before the EU. Regardless of what Brussels thinks, we agree to do everything to help Georgia move firmly toward the European Union… Hungary would continue to oppose external pressure and stand by Georgia’s independent development path.

In September, we will have 50 public officials from Georgia trained, and we will also send Hungarian experts to Georgia. Today, we discussed economic matters, achievements, and cooperation, and we express our gratitude to our Georgian friends”, - said Viktor Orbán.
