The dispersal of the peaceful demonstration of June 15, 2009 and the facts of human rights violations. This will be the topic of discussion at today’s session of the Temporary Investigative Commission.

Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council, Zurab Abashidze, as well as Dachi Tsaguria and Merab Chikashvili will appear before the members of Commission.

The case concerns the events that took place in front of the Tbilisi Main Police Department 16 years ago. When dispersing the peaceful demonstration, police used disproportionate force - physical violence continued in the building of the police department, where those arrested during the demonstration were brought.
