Speaker of the Georgian Parliament said the support of Members of the European Parliament [EP] toward people convicted in Georgia showed that Europe and the European Union were not always the same.

“Such moments show us that Europe and the EU are not always the same. The task of our and many true European citizens of the European Union should be to return Europe to the EU”, - writes Shalva Papuashvili.

His response followed a joint photo taken by Members of the EP Rasa Juknevičienė, Markéta Gregorová, Małgorzata Gosiewska and Petras Auštrevičius on social media, posing with posters supporting Mikheil Saakashvili, Nika Melia, Zurab Girchi Japaridze and Mzia Amaghlobeli.
