Chairperson of the Parliament is ready to hold for public discussions together with the President. Irakli Kobakhidze made the first statement after the presidential administration responded to the offer of the organizational commission.

According to the Chairman of the Parliament, despite the different positions with Giorgi Margvelashvili, it is necessary to start the general public discussion.

"The universal public discussion implies precisely that we consider different positions with our community. We all have our opinions on specific issues that are reflected in the constitutional amendments. Consequently, this is just why we have to discuss our opinions together with the public. We are absolutely open for it and we hope that the President of Georgia will have the same position, " - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

The President of Georgia will be involved in general public discussions of constitutional amendments only after the representatives of his administration will specify organizational and technical details. This is the response of the President`s administration to the proposals of the majority regarding the President`s participation in the discussions.
