Scandalous statement of Mamuka Akhvlediani - relevant institutions did not react to accusations

Politicians and the third sector are waiting for the response to the scandalous statements of the former chairman of the Tbilisi City Court . Two days ago , the former chairperson of the City Court publicly accused Nino Gvenetadze of threatening and pressuring him.

The Chairperson of the Supreme Court in her only comment, which was disseminated by the public broadcaster, says that the facts about pressure and threats by Mamuka Akhvlediani are false and she had no desire to speak about it.

Part of politicians think that silence and inaction cause even more questions. Opposition parties believe that the judiciary will leave Akhvlediani`s statements without response.

In addition to disciplinary investigation, the third sector sees the need for reaction from law enforcers. Part of the ruling team is still demanding additional evidence, and the other part supports the start of the investigation.

Relevant institutions have not reacted to public accusations of Mamuka Akhvlediani.
