The ruling team and the opposition responded to the statement of 85 NGOs by which the civil sector demanded to lower the ballot bar and demand abolishment of the rule of granting of undistributed mandates to the winning party, The Georgian Dream believes that constitutional amendments are fair and correct.

According to the ruling team, the 5% electoral threshold is legitimate.

"The 5% threshold is a completely legitimate barrier, which is accepted in many or almost all European countries. Nobody in these countries says that a 5% barrier is injust or disproporte, " - said Tamar Chugoshvili,a member of the Georgian Dream.

Constitutional changes in the electoral system are unacceptable for the opposition. According to UNM members, political parties and non-governmental organizations express their distrust to the constitutional amendments developed by the Georgian Dream.
