A 50-year-old man has been killed in the village of Kvakhvreli in Gori district. According to family members, he was killed by drunken youth. As they say, the villagers had a confrontation at a feast and Malkaz Sadagashvili tried to stop them and was physically abused by one of them.

He severely beat the man and hit him in the head, which resulted in the death. Eyewitnesses say that the young man did not try to hide the crime, but resisted the police during detention.

Investigation is ongoing under the article of premeditated murder. The victim is a former policeman but family members do not link the incident to his past activities.
