Republican Party joins an initiative of European Georgia to hold a plebiscite on the rule of Presidential Elections .

The party released a statement, saying that the constitutional amendments about the presidential elections do not reflect vision Georgian citizens" political vision.

Republicans say that such large-scale changes to the constitution should not be taken without considering the current political context.

"Interests of population should be adequately reflected in the Constitution , it should not be a document which reflects temporary ,one-time solutions. Therefore, we support the initiative of the political party - Movement for Freedom- European Georgia to appoint a plebiscite ," states Republican Party.
