Levan Izoria, Georgian Defense Minister assesses research in regard to foreign policy and security carried out by the National Democratic Institute and notes that Georgia is one of the safest countries in the world.

"Georgia is one of the safest countries in the world . I say it based on the current threats , which faces the world today "said Levan Izoria.

Only 11% of respondents think that Georgia is protected in regard to national security . 41% believe that security of the country is protected only partially , 21% think Georgia is partly vulnerable and 22% believe that the country is completely vulnerable in means of national security.

NDI surveyed about 2 500 people in Georgia. The survey was conducted in April. The poll will be published on Monday.
