The President and the Chairman of Parliament did not attend general public discussion in Telavi. Nevertheless, the discussion was not devoid of the verbal confrontation between the opposition and the ruling team.

Soon after the start of the public debate, representatives of the Georgian Dream and European Georgia opposed each other on the issue of undistributed mandates and blamed each other in spreading lies.

Opposition has criticized the proposed version of the Georgian Dream electoral system in several directions today. The opposition blames the ruling team for misappropriation of votes and reiterates the parallel with the most dangerous systems for democracy.

Today`s meeting was traditionally attended by non-parliamentary parties.

In addition to politicians, the public gathered in Telavi Theater demanded to hear the arguments from the ruling party about the change of the rule of the president`s election today.

Today, the discussion held in Telavi Theater was attended mostly by the people employed in public service.

The discussion of the draft constitution will continue in Mtskheta tomorrow and will end with a summary meeting in Tbilisi on Monday.
