Research done by the National Democratic Institute states that 67% of interviewees believes the government should control the expenses of the Christian Orthodox church to see what is being spent. Meanwhile 22% disagrees with the majority and 11% has no answer to the question. Also 43% believes that the government should continue to support the church financially. 14% state the funding should grow as 20% believes the fund should lessen, and 8% believe the government should not give any funds to the church. The results of the research done by the NDI has recently being made public.
