24 Candidates for the position of the Strasbourg Court have been selected. The Commission should choose 5 out of them. In the end, the Georgian government will send three candidacies to the Strasbourg Human Rights Court.

Several candidates are talking about the ongoing issues.

"Georgia is not the only country with similar precedents. So I do not think it will happen again. However, this is a normal process of elections. The rule for selection is set and, possibly, the choice will be made in accordance with this rule. This is my decision and the government has nothing to do with it, " -said Lado Chanturia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Germany.

According to Shota Getsadze, a member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia, he does not see any reason to doubt anyone`s objectivity.
