The meeting of the Secretary of the Security Council with security experts has been going on for more than an hour. The main theme of the meeting is the constitutional amendment and its impact on the national security system.

Prior to the meeting, the Assistant to the President of Georgia on Security Issues- National Security Council secretary David Rakviashvili said that the topics of discussion will include abolishment of the Security Council and restrictions of the function imposed on the President as a Commander- in -Chief.

"The Security Community believes that these changes will be very damaging to the national security system. This is a matter of several critical directions, as it deals with civilian democratic control, as well as the issue of abolishing the Security Council as a Supreme Constitutional body, it refers to the limited role of the Commander-in-Chief into a fictitious role, "Davit Rakviashvili said.
