Festivities underway on Tbilisi"s main avenue. The country celebrates the Independence Day. The celebration began in the morning and will end with the gala concert at Rose Square. The Military equipment and armored vehicles are on display at Freedom Square and Rustaveli Avenue. The main topic of the year is Shota Rustaveli and his " Knight in Panther"s skin."

The President, the Prime Minister, the Cabinet members and the City Mayor have participated in festivities on Rustaveli Avenue. Every Ministry has submitted its stand.

"Today is the major holiday, because Georgian people do not love anything more than freedom. I am sure that this year’s main topic Rustaveli and " The Knight in Panther"s skin" is very correct, because I think that Rustaveli, education, the future generation is our main weapon, "- said Alexandre Jejelava.

The Minister of Economics accompanied by his son has also attended the event .
