All 28 member countries of the NATO delegation supported declaration supporting Georgia`s Euro-Atlantic integration. Official Tbilisi believes that the Alliance should focus in the declaration on the necessity for the right to move freely for the population residing near the occupation line.

In the document and in official statements, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly called on the government to continue democratic reforms. The Assembly requested to maintain media pluralism and strengthen judiciary independence from the government and parliament.

The Alliance Parliamentary Assembly also appeals to the Russian Federation and asks to respect Georgia`s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The opposition members pointed out that .for the integration into the Alliance the reform process should be continued. The parliamentary majority started to speak about the possibility of joining NATO bypassing the Membership Action Plan.
After the end of the Parliamentary Assembly, the delegations of the different countries of the Alliance held several meetings with the opposition parties.
