Members of "Political Platform - New Georgia" were present at the Central Election Commission today. Giorgi Vashadze held a meeting with the CEC Chairperson Tamar Zhvania regarding granting the election number.

Before the meeting, the leader of the opposition party made a special statement. According to him, in the pre-election process, there was a change in violation of all norms, according to which "European Georgia" was awarded the election number. According to Giorgi Vashadze, the amendments to the law were made in suspicious circumstances.

According to him, on the basis of the amendment, "European Georgia" was awarded with the number 2, which placed political subjects in unequal conditions. According to Giorgi Vashadze, all this action raises some doubts. Therefore, "New Georgia" requests the Central Election Commission to immediately make a decision and grant the election number 7 to the party "New Georgia".

"The Parliament, in fact, illegally gave this number to " European Georgia ". It turned out that the law was adopted to grant number to only one party . If this is not a deal between the opposition and the governmental forces, then we also want to get number 7, " - said Giorgi Vashadze.
