Georgian side asked Russia to help with fire - Moscow`s respons

Moscow has responded to the possible connection of Russia with the fires in Georgia.

The statement was published by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Lavrov`s office notes that they do not intend to evaluate unhealthy fantasies of people for whom the natural disaster in their country is just another reason for anti-Russian insinuation.

The statement reads that the Russian side immediately responded to the request of the Georgian authorities, and for this purpose, the Emergency Situation Agency has also allocated the IL-76 aircraft.

Later, however, the Georgian side informed Moscow that fires could be localized and there was no need for Russian assistance.
