Russia perceives as threat to the security of the region enhanced cooperation of Georgia and NATO
Upon completion of the next round of consultations in Geneva, the official web site of the Russian Foreign Ministry published a stament saying that the large military exercises carried out by participants of NATO countries in Georgia have anti-Russian character. In addition, the statement touches upon the Geneva discussions, where the representatives of the occupied Tskhinvali region assessed the frequent visits of foreign politicians and organized rallies at the occupation line as provocation.

Russian Foreign Ministry also states that the resolution of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is unacceptable and provocative.
