"What is happening is a normal process," Koba Gvenetadze says that the National Bank will not make explanations

The National Bank does not intend to make explanations regarding the short-term fluctuations of Lari. As Koba Gvenetadze explains, the National Bank has not intervened to keep the level of lari in the pre-election period and what is happening today is the usual process.

"Georgia has a floating exchange rate regime. The floating exchange rate regime means that the course will run in both directions, sometimes in the direction of impairment and sometimes in the strengthening direction. As the central banks of other countries, the National Bank of Georgia does not do and will not comment on short-term fluctuations in the national currency, " - said Koba Gvenetadze, president of the National Bank of Georgia.

The national currency has gone down by 4 points.
