A special operation has been conducted recently in Kvemo Ponichala. The Special Forces were mobilized at Iakob Tsurtaveli Street. As a result of the special operation a drug dealer was arrested.

The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Rustavi 2. According to the agency, the case is launched under Article 260 (5) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which means buying and keeping narcotic drugs repeatedly.

The identity of the detainee is unknown at this stage. The accused was also involved in drug crimes in the past.
