David Sergeenko hopes that change of Lari rate will not affect price of ambulatory medicines

The Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, David Sergeenko responds to the impairment of the Lari and the expected changes in the prices of medication. From the morning, the Lari course has not changed significantly and the cost of one dollar is still up to 2.77 in banks and the remains 2.73 in the exchange points.

The population has anticipated that this process will also affect consumer prices.

The health minister hopes that the National Bank will do everything to balance the changes in the currency rate.

"I really believe that the fluctuation will not last long and will not affect the price of ambulatory medicines. If this happenes, the National Bank has already made a statement that the appropriate instruments will be used to balance this deviation, "-Sergeenko said.

Akaki Zoidze, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Health Care and Social Issues, said that despite the depreciation of the national currency, there was no increase in medication prices at this stage.
