Fire at Gumati HPP extinguished - damage to energy system unknown yet

After three hours of work, the fire at Gumati HPP has been extinguished. Seven firefighting brigades were working on the spot. The damage inflicted to the energy system is not known yet. According to Kutaisi Mayor, the counting commission will start working from today.

Substation transformer has been burned. According to the information spread, the fire started at 5 pm and was followed by a short circuit and explosion.
