Otar Abesadze released from prison

Otar Abesadze, the former high ranking official of the City Hall is released from prison. The court decision was announced several minutes ago. The judge satisfied the motion of the lawyers and changed the sentence of imprisonment on the bail. He will have to pay 10 thousand GEL.

At the meeting, the defendant"s rights defenders presented a new report regarding his health.

The former high ranking officials of the City Hall has appealed to the judge with the same request several times but in vain.

Otar Abesadze was detained on July 12, 2017. The high ranking official of the City Hall requested Georgian citizens to pay $ 3,000 as a bribe in May, 2017.
