In Lagodekhi district, one person was arrested for domestic violence

Law enforcers detained one person in Lagodekhi district of Georgia on charges of domestic violence. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released information about it.

The investigation revealed that a resident of Kevkhiani village in Lagodekhi municipality inflicted verbal and physical insult to his spouse.

Investigationon the fact of domestic violence is launched under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The offense envisages up to one year of imprisonment.
