The government creates an independent investigative mechanism. In particular, the State Inspector"s Office will be established, which will investigate alleged misconduct by law enforcers. This statement was made at the meeting of the Government of Georgia today. According to the PM, the apparatus is created by the initiative of the Ministry of Justice and it is envisaged by the Association Agreement with the European Union.

"It is important to create a State Inspector"s Office, it is very important that we strengthen our population"s trust towards law enforcers," Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the government session.
