The meeting of the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia and Mayor of Tbilisi is over.

At the meeting, the amendments to the Labor Safety Bill have been discussed.

"The case concerns tightening of sanctions - this is one direction. It is also about improving administration, "Kobakhidze said.

According to the amendments, in Tbilisi, the sanctions will become tougher. The Inspection Service will have the right to impose a fine of 30 thousand GEL in case of the first violation, in case of repeated violation the fine will be 50 thousand GEL, and in case of an injured worker, a criminal liability may be imposed.

The amendments do not concern the regions because the initiative belongs to Tbilisi City Hall. However, the chairman of the Health Committee says that if the self-government has the same request,it will be taken into consideration.

The Healthcare Committee supported the draft law last week.
