Transparency International Georgia addresses the government with the recommendation. The organization says that in order to get rid of corruption, the anti-corruption agency should be created in the country.
"The Independent Anti-Corruption Service would be a very good indicator that the country actually puts an agenda of open governance.Elite corruption has become an incurable disease for many years in this country. Despite the fact that the lower level of corruption is actually defeated, "Giorgi Oniani, deputy executive director of Transparency International Georgia said.
Today, the organization published a study according to which the position of Georgia has deteriorated in the global index of corruption perception. In particular, Georgia moved from 44th place to 46th position.
