The Young Lawyers" Association is working on a lawsuit to be filed in the Constitutional Court. The case concerns the legal norm of of lifetime appointiment of judges.

Lawyers of GYLA believe that in case of refusal to appoint judges there should be an obligation to justify the decision.

The issue became relevant after the Supreme Council of Justice refused to appoint Irakli Shavadze, the judge of Batumi City Court.
