The Ministry of Internal Affairs releases an announcement regarding the special operation conducted in Isani district of Tbilisi.

According to the Ministry law enforcers detained individuals in extortion charges.

One of the detainee is an individual born in 1983, previously convicted. Another detainee has also been convicted for several times in the past and is a so-called criminal boss.

The crime committed by them envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.

According to the Interior Ministry, the investigation has found that the defendants were trying to extort large amounts of money by threatening with physical violence. It was also established that the detainees had a connection with the so-called "Thieves in law" and acting according to their orders.
