The issue of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church was one of the main issues at the Synod session.

After the meeting, the Chkondidian Metropolitan said that at this stage the issue if Georgia supports separation of Ukrainian church"s from Russian church is not to be decided, but it is being discussed.

As for the position of the Chkondidian high priest in this regard, he thinks that as an independent country, Ukraine should have autocephaly.
