Parliament fails the government;s initiative, to cancel examinations in schools

 

The Parliament has failed a draft law initiated by the government. The case concerns the introduction of amendments to the Law on General Education, which was discussed at the request of the initiators in an accelerated manner.

According to the draft law, it was planned to cancel school graduation tests.
The bill was supported by 54 MPs, while 76 votes are needed to adopt a law.

The MPs explained after the voting that they did not hear the voice of the chairperson and did not understand which bill they were voting for.
