EU will monitor the implementation of the agreement on electoral reform. Such a statement made the European Council President, Charles Michel, during the press conference held after the Eastern Partnership leaders’ video conference.

“European Union welcomes the inter-party agreement on electoral reform in Georgia and we will be following its development in the near future. Our basis principle is “more for more”. We encourage positive efforts for more economic reforms, rule of law and democratic values.

For example, we welcomed the inter-party agreement about electoral reform in Georgia. Its implementation is also important and we’ll be following it in the near future”, - stated Charles Michel.
