Our Russian colleagues are studying bats as well, maybe they pay USD 5 000 - Paata Imnadze

Our Russian colleagues are studying bats as well, maybe they pay USD 5 000. Such a statement made today the Deputy Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

This was Paata Imnadze’s response on the statement of de facto security committee of Russian-occupied Tskhinvali region. As it known they said that “the Georgian citizen who illegally crossed the so-called border on July 3 was going to catch bats in the villages of Artsevi and Ghromi and sell each of them for USD 5000”.

“Coronavirus confirmed that studying bats is very important. The whole world studies the bats… Our Russian colleagues are studying bats as well. Maybe they pay USD 5 000.

We do not really pay USD 5 000, because if we study bats, we will put them back into their natural habitat”, - added Paata Imnadze.
