Banners being shared on the social media regarding the draft law on transparency are the direct disinformation financed with foreign money, I urge all embassies and donors to pay attention to this issue. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Parliament.

“NGOs and the [United] National Movement have once again started the campaign to brand this draft law [“On the Transparency of Foreign Influence”] as Russian.

You may have seen the banners on the social media, which amount to direct disinformation and lies, and which are financed with foreign money today.

This campaign is underway with foreign money, disinformation is being disseminated against citizens that is financed with American, European, Swedish, Dutch money, using the resources of these NGOs.

Therefore, I urge all embassies and donors to pay attention to this issue because whatever lies these NGOs told last year in order to hide their finances, today, these lies are being repeated with foreign funding”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
