Prime Minister of Georgia introduces Irakli Beraia as a new Head of Intelligence Service to institutional staff

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia introduced Irakli Beraia as a new Head of the Intelligence Service of Georgia to the staff of the institution today.

The Head of Government of Georgia spoke about the qualification and experience of Irakli Beraia and wished him every success in the new capacity. The Prime Minister of Georgia pledged his full support to the Head of Intelligence Service on behalf of the Government of Georgia.

Irakli Beraia was appointed to the position of the Head of Intelligence Service of Georgia on the grounds of an Executive Order issued by the Prime Minister of Georgia on April 5, 2024.

Irakli Beraia used to serve as a Chairperson of the Defense and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, while previously working as a Director of Reforms and Development Department of the Ministry of Interior and Director of Information-Analytics Department of the State Security Service of Georgia in succession.
