Parliament of Georgia keeps yellow security level on April 17 amid tensions over the “Bill on Transparency”

The Parliament of Georgia will keep today, April 17, the yellow security level, based on the September 4, 2023, decree of the Speaker of legislature.

It means that visitors will be restricted from entering the Parliament.

Invited persons and accredited journalists of TV channels will be permitted to attend the sittings.

“The imposed measures aim to ensure a peaceful and work environment in the legislature”, - reads the released statement.
