Many thanks to the Government and people of Georgia for the warm hospitality - President of Asian Development Bank

Masatsugu Asakawa, the President of the Asian Development Bank, thanked the Government and people of Georgia for their “warm hospitality” during the 57th annual meeting of the Bank in Tbilisi.

He also extended “heartfelt thanks to all meeting delegates and participants for their invaluable contributions to our meaningful dialogue”.

“Wrapped up a productive and engaging 57th #ADBAnnualMeeting in the vibrant city of Tbilisi. A huge thank you to the government and people of Georgia for their warm hospitality. This year’s theme - “Bridge to the Future” - steered discussions on building a sustainable, inclusive Asia and the Pacific. We explored pressing global issues such as green globalisation, extreme heat, and AI’s transformative potential in healthcare and agriculture Looking forward to continuing these vital conversations in Milan, Italy, at next year’s ADB annual meeting”, - wrote the ADB President.

He named the USD 5 billion replenishment for the Asian Development Fund to support the region’s “poorest and most vulnerable” countries among the highlights of the four-day event.
