A performance rally was staged at the Canadian visa centre with the main message reading “No to the Russification of Canada” and “We will defend Canadian democracy”.

According to the demonstrators, the Canadian government has started working on the draft law on agents. As the gathered people said, they are ready to protect Canadian democracy.

“We will not let the Russification of Canada and we, the defenders of democracy, will protect Canadian democracy as well”, - said one of the rally participants.

This week, the Canadian federal government tabled a bill to implement a package of reforms to better combat foreign interference, including the much-awaited foreign agent registry and changes to legislation surrounding Canada’s spy agency.
