Lasha Meskhi dismissed from Georgian Public Broadcaster

Lasha Meskhi, a journalist of GPB"s news bulletin " Moambe" has been fired.

According to him , he signed a one-month contract and its term expired yesterday. 13 other journalists signed similar contract, However only Mr. Meskhi was dismissed. As he believes, there were no objective reasons for the decision.

According to Mr. Meskhi"s decision this is an attack carried out not only on him, but on the broadcaster"s sectoral union.

Giorgi Gvimradze states that GPB does not see the possibility of extending cooperation Lasha Meskhi.
