Tomorrow the Supreme Court will decide whether there will be freedom of speech in Georgia - Nika Gvaramia

"Tomorrow will be decided not only the fate of Rustavi2, but the fate of the country in the long run. Tomorrow the Supreme Court and its Grand Chamber will decide whether there will be freedom of speech in Georgia," - Director General of Rustavi 2 has held a briefing.

Gvaramia hopes that the Supreme Court judges will not burry themselves professionally and will nit burry the democratic development of the country.

"Tomorrow the Supreme Court`s Grand Chamber will decide if we have a chance of democracy and whether Georgia becomes a part of a civilized Euro-Atlantic space , or if it returns to its Soviet past. Tomorrow the Supreme Court will decide,if this country has a chance to have ever an independent judiciary, "- Gvaramia says.

Rustavi 2 is has announced a protest rally outside the Supreme Court which will start tomorrow at 12: 30 Rustavi 2 and will be broadcasted live until the evening.

Nika Gvaramia said that Rustavi2 has several requirements. According to him, the Grand Chamber is composed of people who are against Rustavi. Thus , he demands that the Grand Chamber is composed of impartial judges.
