Eka Mishveladze has commented on Giorgi Kvirikashvili"s announcement to create the institution of Media Ombudsman.
According to her, the government should not be involved in election and appointment of candidates on this position.

" Today, when we have to speak about rights of media and journalists, would be right to elaborate solid mechanisms of protection. But two main factors should be taken into account- Government"s involvement in the process of selection and appointment of Media Ombudsman should be excluded and the process should be coordinated with the Public Defender"s Office,"- said Eka Mishveladze.
