An oral hearing of Vani Merabishvili"s case is over at the European Court. The sides have addressed 17 judges. They had 30 minutes to present their positions and facts.

Vano Merabishvili"s lawyer came up with the first word. Philip Leach spoke about Mr. Merabishvili"s illegal withdrawal from the cell. In addition, he noted that the PACE had eleased a resolution, which mentioned that the government wanted to distance Mr. Merabishvili from the political process.
Otar Kakhidze, another lawyer of Vano Merabishvili claims that instead of presenting evidences, Georgian government made a confession.

" They spoke about cases, which are not linked to this proceeding. They said that there were questions to Mr. Merabishvili, they did not take him from the cell, but they had questions. They failed to present any evidences , "- Said Otar Kakhidze.
