After he was dismissed from the position of Patriarchate`s television director, Archbishop Petre made another statement to reporters. Despite the address of the TV employees asking the Patriarch to change the decision, Reverend Petre refuses to return to the company .

I few years ago I had the desire to devote more time to the diocese and ask his holiness to dismiss me from the television but he did not satisfy the request. Though to day it was done. Thank God, I believe that the diocese needs me much more.

Chkondidi Metropolitan responded to the information that he may be replaced in the positon of TV director by Giorgi Andriadze. Archbishop Petre said that he was not aware yet of who would l be the new director of the Patriarchate`s TV.

"I can not confirm, but, if that happens, it will be a very great shame for the Church," - said Father Petre Tsaava
