The organizer of the demonstration against the Adjara police chief has made the first comment. Human rights defender, Merab Ghoghoberidze said in an interview to the Courier that he was the one who started the protests against the police chief. Ghoghoberidze has not been questioned. He states that he is ready to answer all questions.

"What has happened, is already their fault , and I can tell you that they were so aggressive that they started beating people and it was the peak," - said Merab Ghoghoberidze .

According to him, the government should feel responsibility.

"The government must have made a timely response. I believe that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the relevant authorities will determine the truth, because if there is any evidence that it was planned, of course, both me and the others have to be held accountable. I am ready to answer questions, "- said Ghoghoberidze .
