The UNM has released an official statement in connection with the expulsion from the party of Irakli Chkhvirkia . As the statement of the National Movement says, Chkhvirkia’s statements were not agreed with the party.

"Irakli Chkhvirkia made a number of statements on the Batumi developments without agreeing them with the party. The statements did not reflect the position of the United National Movement. Moreover, his actions were against the position of the United National Movement and therefore, we decided to expel him from the party", - the statement says.
