The Parliamentary opposition has criticized the government`s statements in connection with the European Court.

European Georgia believes that focusing on the property rights violations in the ruling of the European Court is incompetent and advises the government to to abide the European Court decision. Otherwise, they predict the development of events in the Russian scenario.

"In case the irresponsible ideas of the government turn into actions and the Government does not abide the decision of the Europe"s most authoritarian Court, Georgia will turn out to be the mode of confrontation with the whole civilized world. This is the way to an abyss and it is the way of the Russian Federation, "- said Giorgi Kandelaki.

The National Movement focuses on the incompetence of the government .

"They are totally incompetent and do not understand that there is no such thing, that the property right might be more important than such a fundamental rights as freedom of speech," - said Salome Samadashvili.

The parliamentary majority has denied the allegations. Georgian Dream claims that they are not even considering the possibilty of not abiding the decision of the European Court on Rustavi 2 case .

 "I am not surprised that there are different types of views because the European Court`s decision is the prcedent that has never happened before as the suspension mechanismhas not previously been used in connection of either property right or expression right. Not only in our society, I"ve heard other officials from different countries express their surprise, "- said Tamar Chugoshvili.

Following members of the government Eva Gotsiridze made a lengthy statement .on this topic yesterday. Gotsiridze says the decision of the Strasbourg Court violated the principle of equality and the right to property.
