Cut of President"s constitutional rights and change of election rules are main issues at the sitting of the Constitutional Commission. The sitting is underway at the moment.

The opposition states that the ruling party tries to undermine institution of president.

" Those institutions, which are not subjected to informal dictate of Bidzina Ivanishvili, are being attacked. The Constitutional changes aim at the Presidential institute,"- said Salome Samadashvili, a deputy Chairman of UNM.
Labor Party members believe that the president should be a functional politician and people should be able to elect him .
A member of Movement for Freedom- European Georgia- Irakli Abesadze believes that it is necessary to have a president with high legitimacy.
