The lawyers of Deacon Giorgi Mamladze are going to appeal today the decision of the City court . The first instance court did not satisfy the motion to interrogate 16 members of the Holy Synod.

Defense lawyers claim that the clergy are mentioned in the prosecution witnesses` testimonies. The lawyers want to know how realistic is the information about the confrontation between members of the Synod.

"I do not rule out that the Court of Appeal will take the same position. This indicates that unfortunately justice is selective, because none of the motions of the prosecutor`s office has been rejected by the court. I believe that the Holy Synod in the first place should interested to answer the questionsthat are of interest of the public, "- said lawyer Michael Ramishvili.
