The visit of the Georgian Foreign Minister to the United States Congress has finished. Mikheil Janelidze spoke to Congressman Gerry Connolly and passed over the Order of Honor for the support of Georgia.

The Minister also thanked him for his activity in the capacity of co-chairman of the Group of Friends of Georgia in the House of Representatives.

Mikheil Janelidze met with Sen. Lindsey Graham too. They discussed the issues of regional security and the situation in the occupied territories.

"We once again underlined our great interest and desire to deepen the strategic partnership with the United States in all directions. We have a special focus on security, economic cooperation and trade ties, "- said Mikhail Janelidze.
